In the event of a late cancellation or no-show visit, clients will be required to pay for that visit before reserving space in another class.
CLASS & STUDIO POLICY
Studio Attire
All aerial classes require clients to remove shoes and jewelry, as these can damage the fabric of the hammocks. We recommend clients wear comfortable but form fitting clothing, in light weight and breathable cotton fabrics. Loose clothing can ride up and get tangled in the hammocks. Because the silk has some slip to it and the wraps facilitate detoxification, we recommend clients avoid spandex or similar shiny or non-breathable materials. We ask that all clients be mindful of others in class in regards to their dress and appearance.
Class Arrival
Due to required hammock adjustments, late arrivals are disruptive to the flow of class and disrespectful to clients who arrive on time. Clients must arrive to class on time, and late students will be denied entry to class and charged as if they had attended. A 5 minute grace period is provided for intro, beginner, and open level yoga classes. If you arrive during the grace period and class has already started, please enter the studio quietly and wait until you are addressed by the instructor to enter. There is no grace period provided for advanced classes, dance, or circus, as it is dangerous to allow latecomers to participate when they have not completed the necessary warm-up exercises with the rest of class. Weekends are our busiest time, and we kindly ask that clients arrive five minutes early to class so that we are able to accommodate walk-in guests. Please keep this in mind when coming to the studio for the first time and allow yourself adequate time to find the studio and parking.
Force Majeure
We do not accept any liability for any failure to perform or delay in performing any of our obligations under a contract between us where such failure or delay is caused by events outside our control (“Force Majeure Event”).
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our control and includes in particular (but without limitation) strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport, impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks, or the acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
Our performance of any contract with you is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
Aerial Safety
Please listen and watch our instructors carefully as they demonstrate and explain important safety and comfort concerns with the wraps and in order for you to minimize your risk of injury in your practice. For the safety of all clients, clients who do not follow instruction or attempt to perform tricks or poses not being covered in class will be asked to leave and charged regularly for the class. We also recommend you do not chew gum during class, and especially not during inversions. For your own safety, you will not be permitted to participate in class if you appear intoxicated.
Reserving Class Space for Others
The studio does allow clients to sign up friends and family members for their convenience. Friends and family members signed up by clients are also expected to follow all studio policies.
Service and Kindness
We respectfully ask that clients treat each other with kindness and offer their support and service to their fellow aerialists and yogis in class whenever possible. Aerial Yoga is a safe and welcoming place for people of all races, sexes, genders, sexual orientations, and abilities, and teasing, bullying, gossiping, or other harmful behaviors are not tolerated. Please remember that we are all of different paths and at different places in our life journeys, and we all deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.
